We will do our book exchange on the day of our Winter Learning Experience (Dec. 20). Thank you to Mrs. Ludlin and all the other amazing mom's for planning a fun time for the kids! 

Also, please please PLEASE wear your pajamas inside out tonight so we can have some beautiful snow to look at tomorrow. Inside out PJ's = ... SNOW! 

We need your help...

We will preview the bookfair today. After today you can send your child with money to purchase. Please send me a quick note so I know to look for it. I have asked the kids to come to the classroom FIRST to show me their money and to make sure the book fair is open to purchases.The book fair is completely run by volunteers. The more volunteers we have the more opportunities for purchase times. Please see the note below from Mrs. Wall and consider donating some time.

And don't forget that Media by Moonlight is on Dec. 5th following the PTA general meeting. The PTA meeting is at 4:40 and Media by Moonlight begins at 5:30.

We need more volunteers for the book fair. CLASS CONTEST: The class with the most volunteer hours will win a hardcover book from Book Fair. The Teacher will be able to select a book for his/her classroom from the Book Fair. Please help us recruit more volunteers for this book fair!

Readvolution update....

Just a reminder that the Readvolution reading challenge is still on!

Student Ticket Rewards

·         Students who achieve their reading goal of 1200 minutes by January 12, 2018 will be able to redeem a Hurricanes game ticket after the campaign has ended

·         ALL students MUST record their books read and log their time DAILY into the Readvolution Dashboard http://hurricanes.com/WakeCounty

The Walk-A-Thon was AWESOME!!! Lots of laps were run and there were a lot of smiling faces. Thank you to all the mom's and dad's who came out to help. (Mrs. Tadd, Mrs. Ludlin, Mrs. Jaeschke, Mr. Avery, Mr. Driver, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Granaham). Please forgive me if I missed anyone. We had so so many helping hands. We are a lucky "Seaweed Troop" :)

Due to the possiblity of yucky weather tomorrow the Walk-A-Thon has been postponed unit Friday Sept. 8.

Track In is upon us...

Track In is right around the corner. We will be in room 204. 

Two important pieces of information as we prepare to track in. 

1. If you haven't already please send your child to school with a 100% cotton T-Shirt for tye-dying next week. It must be 100% cotton for the color to hold. 
2. The Solar Eclipse will be happening on Monday. In order for your child to receive a pair of special solar eclipse glasses to view the even you must fill out a permission form AND sign it. Click here for an English form and click here for one in Espanol. 

Can't wait to see everyone on Monday.

Hola padres!

The students in 1st grade have been working hard on practicing their Spanish songs in Spanish and Music class. The students in Mrs. Chern's class will be putting on a Spanish concert on Wednesday, 9/20/17 from 1:55-2:40pm in the Learning Commons. You are invited to come and enjoy the concert, and to stay to hear your student present their Spanish/Music portfolio from Quarter 1!
