pretty great :) Just a reminder that this Thursday is McTeacher night. I’ll be working from 5 to 6.
Hope to see you there. This week is Student Led conferences at Brassfield and Green Road Library.
Please be sure to check your calendar for your date and time and don’t forget to bring your student.
They are super excited to share their learning with you.

Reading: Reading with fluency, accuracy, rate and expression, self correcting, retelling stories,
reading plays
Writing: How-To informational writing
Spelling: Unit 29
Math: Using partitioning of shapes to tell time, parts of clocks, time to the hour and half hour
Social Studies: Reducing and Reusing, Types of communities (rural, urban, suburban)
This week week’s character trait is CURIOSITY. Click here to learn more. This week’s
challenge is - Write a list of all the things you are curious about and share it with Mrs. Chern.


 There is a reading passage and questions. Remember Monday (read),
Tuesday (read and question 1), Wednesday (read), Thursday (read and question 2). Fluency is
key. It is a MAJOR part of this reading unit.  For Math there is one sheet for math reviewing
shapes.

  • May 31 Volunteer Luncheon and Spring Carnival: I will be doing the Nose Picking Game from 5:45-7:00 and the Dunk Booth from 7:30-8:00. Hope to see you there.

The kids made you a special gift. If they didn’t already give it to them remind them to on Sunday. It’s
been a while and they may not remember where they “hid” it from you. We have 7 weeks left of 1st
grade. Let’s make them amazing.

The kids work really hard to get things to together to share with you what they are learning in school. Plenty of slots left. Click HERE to get to the Sign Up Genius at Brassfield Elem. If you need a time at Green Road Library let me know and I will let you know which slots are left.
